The Change Conversation Systemwide Partnership

Give every campus a common language for student change.

When one school sees success with Motivational Interviewing and the Stages of Change, the next question is, “How do we spread this without losing the heart of it?” The Change Conversation Systemwide Partnership is a year‑long engagement for districts, multicampus colleges, and school networks that want consistent, MI‑aligned conversations across sites.

What is the
Systemwide Partnership?

Over 12 months, we guide your system in building a core group of MI-skilled staff, extending training to additional campuses, creating shared workflows, scripts, and tools, and establishing clear indicators so leadership can track progress, ensuring consistent, sustainable, and measurable improvements across all sites.

Your staff is already having the conversations that matter most, about missed classes, late work, academic probation, behavior, mental health, and staying enrolled. Most of them were never given a concrete, evidence‑based way to handle those conversations, so they rely on reminders, warnings, and advice that don’t always work.

Each location of a school or institution has its own character, community, and challenges. When you multiply the number of conversations with students and colleagues by multiple campuses, it can be a lot to manage when trying to put your best foot forward. The Change Conversation Systemwide Partnership helps with that.

Who this is for

points (3).png

Oversee multiple campuses, departments, or offices.

points (3).png

Want a shared approach to student conversations across advising, counseling, instruction, and student services.

points (3).png

Are tired of one-off trainings that don’t translate into daily practice.

Ideal decision‑makers include principals, deans, directors of advising, student affairs leaders, and anyone responsible for retention, student success, or school climate.

You do not need previous MI experience. You do need a willingness to look honestly at how key conversations are happening now and to support staff in trying something different.
